Annual Fire Shelter Training for USFS
Incident Blanket Purchase Agreements
                                                       Training Schedule

This course is four hours and will be done concurrently with RT-130 at the same location. The course covers Risk Management, LCES, Fire Orders, Eighteen Watch-Out Situations and Fire Shelter Training. Each student will be required to successfully deploy a fire shelter and must be capable of getting in and out of the shelter without assistance. The course is designed for contractors who intend to obtain Incident Blanket Purchase Agreements with the US Forest Service and whose duties do not require them to go to the fireline. Upon completion of the class each participant will receive a certificate of completion which can be submitted to the Forest Service as proof of training, and a card that can be presented at the Incident Command post.  This course does not take the place of the eight hour RT-130 Annual Fireline Safety Refresher required for Operators who will be going to the fireline.

Course hours: 2 P.M. to 6 P.M.

Prerequisites: : None.

Target Positions:
All operators who will not be going to the fireline.

Maximum Class Size: 30.

Location:  Chelan County Sheriff DEM office, 408 N. Western, corner of 5th & Western at the old fire station, Wenatchee, Washington 98801. Park in the back or front of the fire station, but do not block the bay doors.


Cost: $30.00 per student - Includes course materials, handouts, a certificate of completion, and a pocket card for presentation at any Incident Command Post.
 Tuition may be paid by cash or check at the class.
